The NEW Patient Affordable Health Care Law went into effect on March 23, 2010.  CMS and the Federal Register have released the preliminary requirements for the mandatory compliance manual and requirements necessary for a provider to treat patients in Medicare and Medicaid. Meanwhile, the OIG, CMS, BCBS and Aetna are just a few that have increased their audits.
