	UpDate Sessions allow MCS-Ps to get up-to-date on new laws, statutes and regulations while allowing ample time for social activities with new and old friends. These sessions are closed to the public and provide MCS-P, CPC and PAHCOM CEUs Suggestions for locations have indicated a desire to go somewhere fun, where everyone can enjoy their free time, relax and get to know other MCS-Ps. Learning without the pressure of having to take the MCS-P exam was mentioned frequently and considered a plus. 2010 MCS-P UpDate Session in Cherry Hill, NJ Date: February 24, 25, and 26(noon), 2010 Location: Cooper University Hospital 3 Executive Campus, Suite 390 Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 This year we’re heading to the northeast…….! The Feb UpDate Session will be at Cooper University Hospital-Executive Campus. Cooper University Hospital is a dynamic, integrated healthcare delivery system serving southern New Jersey. As clinical campus of the University of Medicine and Dentistry/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Cooper University Hospital is dedicated to medical education and research excellence. University Physicians-Cooper, the teaching faculty of UMDNJ/RWJMS, maintains more than 50 office sites. The origins of Cooper University Hospital can be traced to 1887, when a prominent Quaker family named Cooper opened a hospital to provide medical care for the indigent population of Camden, NJ. Tina Cressman, MCS-P, MCS-I is the Director, Revenue Cycle Education and has been teaching the MCS-P Course and Exam at Cooper for the past few years. Cooper University Hospital has extended their block sleeping room rates at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia-Cherry Hill at Cooper University rates. The Holiday Inn will also provide shuttle service for us to the Executive Campus classroom in the morning and afternoon. We certainly appreciate the hospitality. The northeast is a very stimulating part of the country, steeped in history, so there will be lots to do and see. There are many nearby attractions to consider: The National Constitution Center. A residential suburb of Camden and Philadelphia settled in 1713. Of interest are Indian King Tavern (1750) where the first state legislature met in 1777 and the Haddonfield Historical Society. The site of the first nearly complete dinosaur fossil ever found (1838), the “Haddonfield Hadrosaur:, is a national historic landmark. Campbells field. Opened in 2001. MCS-P UpDate classroom sessions will run from 8:00am until about 5:00pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday class will be from 8:00am until noon. You will need to bring your large MCS-P Manual. Do not bring the Policy and Procedure Manual or any handouts from previous classes. We will start Wednesday morning by updating your Manual. A continental breakfast and everything you need for class will be waiting for you. So come a little early and get settled in. It's going to be a good UpDate! The ‘Surprise’ is going to be fun! Nope…..no hints….you’ll have to wait and see! You will need comfortable clothes and shoes. It is really going to be fun! The registration fee is $750.00 again this year. In order for MCT to express appreciation to Cooper University for their hospitality, the MCS-Ps that were certified at Cooper University will be entitled to a $50.00 discount; a registration fee of $700. MCT accepts VISA, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. Or, you can also pay by personal or corporate check by mailing the registration form and registration fee to the address below. Harrison, President 20 CEU's will be awarded for the MCS-P UpDate Session which will consist of 20 hours of classroom work over a three-day period. AAPC has given their approval of 18 CEUs for the Update Session. By attending one Update Session, CPCs and MCS-Ps can receive the required CEUs to maintain both certifications. 10 CEU's will be given for PHIA certifications. The Professional Healthcare Institute of America gives prior approval for 10 CEUs. The registration fee for the MCS-P UpDate Session is $750.00. Registration is available on the website or by faxing or calling Medical Compliance Training. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express or personal and corporate checks. Other enrollment discounts do not apply to the Medical Compliance Specialist Update Sessions. The MCS-P Update Sessions will be a part of our annual schedule each year.
